Smile Campaign Pre-Production forms (podcast)

In order to make sure that I know where i am recording, when I am recording and if I have permission to record, I have to use forms. Below are location scouting forms that are used when looking for possible locations. For example, a company may have 20 locations in mind, but they need to record on certain dates and times. The location scouting sheets contain information about the soundscape, dates and times you can record, Adress and who to contact. After going through the scouting processs a company will narrow the locations down to the best area to record in. After this, they will contact the company for permissions to record and fianalise details. I have my own versions of these forms which grant me permission to record inside Sunderland College. To make recording as safe as possible, risk assessments must be taken in order to know what poses as a risk. Due to the podcast being recorded while sitting down, there arnt many risks but they must be done. therfore, before recording starts I can check off/ tell others what they can do to reduce the chance of injury. In order to create a good Podcast, I will need to have at least 2 other people in my podcast. In order to include these people in the podcast The podcast is about mental health, therefore I run into the risk of stress/anxiety with my cast. In order to reduce the chance of stress. I had a meeting with my cast to talk about what will be included in the podcast. I walked them through the script and asked them to fill out a short form to see what they are comfortable talking about. This helps minamise the chance of stress and makes the cast feel more comfortable.

Smile Post-Production Diary

For my post-production I have decided to use premier pro. Premier pro is an editing program that allows you to splice, edit and colour grade footage. As shown in the pre-production, the beginning of my footage will be using  the same colour grade.  17th January - today I have started to edit my smile campaign video. I found the appropriate audio that I wanted. I gained my music from epidemic sound . Epidemic sound is a website where you give a monthly subscription and gain access to thousands of tracks and and sound effects. I decided to choose two audio clips. My first audio is very dull and deep. This will help with my editing as the audio conveys and reinforces the depressed mood that I wish to give off. My second audio clip is high pitched which conveys a happier tone. Audio is very important to a video as it helps tell the mood of a video and also the pace of clips. In order to make sure the posters are the best way possible. We use post editing software to change colours, change exposure and add text. To make sure I have the most amount of editing control, I will be using lightroom and Photoshop. Image 1 To start off my editing process I took the first image into Lightroom and made some quick adjustments in order to bring more definition into the buildings that are in the background. I did these using the basic correction tools found on the right hand side. After that, I felt that the room was still too bright and needed to be darker, therefore I created a graduated filter. As shown here there are 4 graduated filters coming from each side that have decrease in exposure. this should therefore take the exposure down on the parts of the images that are selected. Canon Shooting diary

 15th of january - Picture 1 - Me Today I woke up at 6 o'clock in order to give me enough time to get ready to take my first image. The first image was of me standing in front of my window looking out at the surrounding houses while my room is pitch black. The image was very straight forward and captured with ease.  The settings were an ISO of 100. ISO is how sensitive the sensor on the camera is to light. Having a high ISO increases the amount of noise in the image. Therefore i stuck with 100 as my ISO.  I used an aperture of f/4 and a shutter speed of 2 seconds. After that I had nothing to do but wait until tomorrow as that was the date allowed for the recording outside. Today I realised that although the eye doesn't see it, there is barely enough light to record before sunrise.
