Canon Feedback

Image
In order to make sure that my posters work and relate to the audience how I wanted, I will need to make sure to ask for feedback. I will look at the feedback, positive or negative and find ways of improving these. By improving o issues, the audience will receive the poster better and it will make sure that the posters are less distracting and more indulging for the viewer. The less problems the audience see, the better. Everyone understood what the posters story is about, I will confirm this later on by asking about their interpretation. However, for now, the audience are able to come to their own decision. There is no confusion. The client is visible in the posters which is expected as they are on every poster. I believe that by making the posters simple and minimalistic, there is no confusion and the client is well defined.  People believe that the posters relate to the target audience and it seems to be due to the fact that most think it gives motivation or emotions. canon post-production

Image
In order to make sure the posters are the best way possible. We use post editing software to change colours, change exposure and add text. To make sure I have the most amount of editing control, I will be using lightroom and Photoshop. Image 1 To start off my editing process I took the first image into Lightroom and made some quick adjustments in order to bring more definition into the buildings that are in the background. I did these using the basic correction tools found on the right hand side. After that, I felt that the room was still too bright and needed to be darker, therefore I created a graduated filter. As shown here there are 4 graduated filters coming from each side that have decrease in exposure. this should therefore take the exposure down on the parts of the images that are selected. Due to the fact that all the filters cover the room, the whole rooms exposure is taken down. Next I am going to use the tone curve in order to refine my exposure. To keep editing simple, I w...

Canon Shooting diary

Image
15th of january - Picture 1 - Me Today I woke up at 6 o'clock in order to give me enough time to get ready to take my first image. The first image was of me standing in front of my window looking out at the surrounding houses while my room is pitch black. The image was very straight forward and captured with ease.  The settings were an ISO of 100. ISO is how sensitive the sensor on the camera is to light. Having a high ISO increases the amount of noise in the image. Therefore i stuck with 100 as my ISO.  I used an aperture of f/4 and a shutter speed of 2 seconds. After that I had nothing to do but wait until tomorrow as that was the date allowed for the recording outside. Today I realised that although the eye doesn't see it, there is barely enough light to record before sunrise. In the future this will help me plan for shots that are shot early morning. 16th January - Today I woke up and collected my gear and left the house at 7:48. From their I walked around a mile tow...

Canon Sketches

In order to make sure that I have an idea of what to take pictures of, I made quick sketches for myself that allowed me to visualise the image before taking it. Although to most people the sketches seem very confusing and hard to understand, i am the only person working on the product which means I am the only person needing to understand it. By doing this, there is no time wasting when it comes to capturing images as i already have a base idea of what I need to do. sketches from Bailey44

Canon Pre-production

In order to make sure that I know where I am recording, when I am recording and if I have permission to record, I have to use forms. Below are location scouting forms that are used when looking for possible locations. For example, a company may have many locations to chose from, but they need to record on certain dates and times. The location scouting sheets contain information about the soundscape, dates and times you can record, address and who to contact. After going through the scouting process a company will narrow the locations down to the best area to record in. After this, they will contact the company for permissions to record and finalize details. I have my own versions of these forms which grant me permission to record in Wingate, The A19 and my The Dene. To make recording as safe as possible, risk assessments must be taken in order to know what poses as a risk. Due to the photos being taken by myself there are not many risks but they must be done. This way, before recording...
