Canon Feedback

Image
In order to make sure that my posters work and relate to the audience how I wanted, I will need to make sure to ask for feedback. I will look at the feedback, positive or negative and find ways of improving these. By improving o issues, the audience will receive the poster better and it will make sure that the posters are less distracting and more indulging for the viewer. The less problems the audience see, the better. Everyone understood what the posters story is about, I will confirm this later on by asking about their interpretation. However, for now, the audience are able to come to their own decision. There is no confusion. The client is visible in the posters which is expected as they are on every poster. I believe that by making the posters simple and minimalistic, there is no confusion and the client is well defined.  People believe that the posters relate to the target audience and it seems to be due to the fact that most think it gives motivation or emotions. This ...

Smile video feedback

Image
In order to make sure that the video is engaging and as engaging with the audience, we must do a screening to a small group of people. By having a screening, we are able to see real peoples reactions to the picture and see if they understand what the video is about and see if they feel any emotions with the video itself. After screening, I will conduct a form that allows me to see their feedback on the film. To me, the most important pieces of feedback is the negatives. Anything that a viewer finds wrong with a product, will be what they remember the most. So, after my feedback I will need to go back into post production and change what is faulty with the product. Thankfully, the audience well received the the message and client of the video. This is  already great as it means that the editing used was able to keep the storyline streamline and effective. By having everyone understand, this means that my purpose of the video has been successfully done. As stated before, I want...

Smile Audience profile

In here is my audience profile which shows the audience clearly. After I finish my research, in a work environment, I would send this to the rest of the team members so they can see visually see what the audience are like and what we would need to include in order to meet the audience.  Audience profile from Bailey44

Rational

In the real world, you would have to present you ideas to the client in order to get the "green light". This rational is a showcase of my research and my ideas. This showcase is to show the client that you understand them, the purpose of the video and how you are going to relate to audience. This rational is what all of my research has lead up to. Codes and conventions

Codes and conventions are typical key elements that are found in media products.   For example, film posters include billing blocks, Titles and images.     Neale and genre theory – repetition and difference   For example,  James  bond movies are  repetitive  but they change all the time in actors and storyline. Marvel movies are repetitive but they always have different  actors  but the world always seem to be “ending”.   They always have a pre-established audience and fanbase.    Sans Serif – less formal    Serif – formal font with hard edges.     Semiotics  – signs and symbols    E.G Red Dress – love, anger, death   Connotations\ encoded message       Cultivation theory    A high user of media that can have their thoughts changed so they fit in with society more.    He believed that if you used media for more that  8 hours a day, you w...

Existing media (smile)

I am going to conduct research into existing products so I have a better idea as of what I should and could create and how they give an impact. This is used by companies in order to understand what the competition is creating campaigns and how we can better their work. I am doing this research so I can find out what is already on the market, deconstruct them to see what works and then apply that to my own work in the future. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBS7v-v5oMo CAMH's has done a YouTube video about anxiety. The video begins with a girl talking in hospital bed. We can tell this because she is in a plain room with a plain blue hospital gown on. she begins by saying that she can't breath. This gives the video an instant drop into the scenario. The tone of the video is very serious and the colors are very desaturated. This is not a  happy video. By knowing this video is by CAMH's and she begins saying she can't breath, we can tell that, in terms of theory, this video...

Subject research from Bailey44

Subject research (smile)

Toxic Positivity   is when people place a high value on their own happiness. It is expected to leave a person less happy, especially in contexts where they most expect to feel   happy .  This tendency to expect happiness and then to feel disappointed or to blame themselves for not feeling happy enough, has been linked to greater depressive symptoms and deficits in  well-being . People who expected to feel happy (valuing being happy), also tended to see their negative emotional states as a sign of failure in life and lacked acceptance of these emotional experiences. This discomfort with negative emotions explained why they had lower levels of well-being. On the other hand, people who pursued happiness indirectly (prioritising being positive), did not see their negative emotional states this way. They were more accepting of low feelings and did not see them as a sign they were failing in life. This article could be used in my video. As a way of showing ...

Target audience (canon)

  Target audience from Bailey44

Smile Target Audience

In here is my Target audience. A Target audience is the group of people you are making your video for. For example people who play the drums might not watch piano tutorials and vice versa. Therefore we use a Target audience to understand what to make and how to make it. By using demographic (age, race, gender), Physiographic (interests) and Social Grade (Income) we can narrow down the target audience to a  niche (small) audience or a Mainstream (wide) audience. I have been given the age group of 15-25 as my target audience. Now I need to conduct research into the age group to find out there psychographics and their social grade. this will help me come to a better conclusion as to what to make my video about. For example I'm not going to make a video about going on a cruise if my audience don't meet the social grade to afford it.      Target audience from Bailey44
