Canon Evaluation

Image
Evaluation: Overall I believe that my posters work extremely well with each other and each add their own piece to the overall story. My aim was to make each poster different from the one before and the one after. This was to make sure that the audience were able to see how different art can be.  My first poster was made to introduce the audience to canon. The poster is almost all black with only a lone person and some text. The bright red Canon logo works well with the image due to the fact of how much it contrasts with the rest of the image. Peoples eyes, even from a distance, are able to see what the brand on the poster is.  We see a man looking into to the distance with a window blocking him. Below it says “the world awaits”. To the audience this will come across as saying that you can look, whine, make excuses, but at the end of the day the world awaits and you are the only person that can go out and explore the world for yourself. This poster was meant to make the audience under

Smile Video final cut and Evaluation

Image
My video is finally finished. I am very happy with the outcome of the video and the story that it tells. The product:  The video is meant to show how a young person has gone from being sad and lonely, to then being happy and smiling due to the fact that they went for a walk to see the sunrise. I chose to do this due to the fact that the audience will be lower in the social grade due to the fact they are at college / Uni. The video aimes to show how no money is needed in order to make yourself smile and be happy. I have chose to make the video very simplistic in the sense of storytelling and technical skill. Controversy to most filming techniques i decided not to include movement within the camera itself.  Action sequences are full of camera movement in order to heighten and keep the flow of action. The movement is usually used in order to make the audience feel as if they are there with the people in the action sequence. They are feeling each punch. I don't want my audience to feel

Upon editing I was fairly confident with the fact that i would find a font that I liked. However most fonts are very thick or very fine. I knew what I was wanting but it was none of the images that were currently displayed. Not long after I was able to find the right font. This font is very light on the image but holds a serious tone. I think it works well within the feedback that I was given by people and works well with the overall brief. The font is also easier to read and stands off from the background. I am confident in my video and believe it is now at the the best standard it can be.

Canon Feedback

Image
In order to make sure that my posters work and relate to the audience how I wanted, I will need to make sure to ask for feedback. I will look at the feedback, positive or negative and find ways of improving these. By improving o issues, the audience will receive the poster better and it will make sure that the posters are less distracting and more indulging for the viewer. The less problems the audience see, the better. Everyone understood what the posters story is about, I will confirm this later on by asking about their interpretation. However, for now, the audience are able to come to their own decision. There is no confusion. The client is visible in the posters which is expected as they are on every poster. I believe that by making the posters simple and minimalistic, there is no confusion and the client is well defined.  People believe that the posters relate to the target audience and it seems to be due to the fact that most think it gives motivation or emotions. This is great

Smile video feedback

Image
In order to make sure that the video is engaging and as engaging with the audience, we must do a screening to a small group of people. By having a screening, we are able to see real peoples reactions to the picture and see if they understand what the video is about and see if they feel any emotions with the video itself. After screening, I will conduct a form that allows me to see their feedback on the film. To me, the most important pieces of feedback is the negatives. Anything that a viewer finds wrong with a product, will be what they remember the most. So, after my feedback I will need to go back into post production and change what is faulty with the product. Thankfully, the audience well received the the message and client of the video. This is  already great as it means that the editing used was able to keep the storyline streamline and effective. By having everyone understand, this means that my purpose of the video has been successfully done. As stated before, I wanted the vi

podcast post-production

Image
To start off editing, I began by importing my music and dialogue. At the beginning I had problems talking so there is slight issues with how clear my speech is. To cover this up I am going to make sure that the music covers up my speech at the start. I am going to make the music slowly fade out and fade in towards the end of the music. I chose the selected music as it is up beat. By juxtaposing with the deep content of the podcast, it will hopefully bring a balanced and relaxed feeling to the conversation. I was unable to edit much of the podcast due to issues with the recording of the podcast itself. This is discussed further in my podcast production. My plan was to start post production and because of my past experiences with editing, I gave myself three weeks to complete the editing process. During the first week of post production, I began by adding the music and making sure it faded in well. I began by doing some basic cuts and stitching.  The next time of post production, I fou

In order to make sure the posters are the best way possible. We use post editing software to change colours, change exposure and add text. To make sure I have the most amount of editing control, I will be using lightroom and Photoshop. Image 1 To start off my editing process I took the first image into Lightroom and made some quick adjustments in order to bring more definition into the buildings that are in the background. I did these using the basic correction tools found on the right hand side. After that, I felt that the room was still too bright and needed to be darker, therefore I created a graduated filter. As shown here there are 4 graduated filters coming from each side that have decrease in exposure. this should therefore take the exposure down on the parts of the images that are selected. Due to the fact that all the filters cover the room, the whole rooms exposure is taken down. Next I am going to use the tone curve in order to refine my exposure. To keep editing simple, I w
