I am going to conduct research into existing products so I have a better idea as of what I should and could create and how they give an impact. This is used by companies in order to understand what the competition is creating campaigns and how we can better their work. I am doing this research so I can find out what is already on the market, deconstruct them to see what works and then apply that to my own work in the future. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBS7v-v5oMo CAMH's has done a YouTube video about anxiety. The video begins with a girl talking in hospital bed. We can tell this because she is in a plain room with a plain blue hospital gown on. she begins by saying that she can't breath. This gives the video an instant drop into the scenario. The tone of the video is very serious and the colors are very desaturated. This is not a  happy video. By knowing this video is by CAMH's and she begins saying she can't breath, we can tell that, in terms of theory, this video

Toxic Positivity   is when people place a high value on their own happiness. It is expected to leave a person less happy, especially in contexts where they most expect to feel   happy .  This tendency to expect happiness and then to feel disappointed or to blame themselves for not feeling happy enough, has been linked to greater depressive symptoms and deficits in  well-being . People who expected to feel happy (valuing being happy), also tended to see their negative emotional states as a sign of failure in life and lacked acceptance of these emotional experiences. This discomfort with negative emotions explained why they had lower levels of well-being. On the other hand, people who pursued happiness indirectly (prioritising being positive), did not see their negative emotional states this way. They were more accepting of low feelings and did not see them as a sign they were failing in life. This article could be used in my video. As a way of showing the audience that maybe just being

Smile Target Audience

In here is my Target audience. A Target audience is the group of people you are making your video for. For example people who play the drums might not watch piano tutorials and vice versa. Therefore we use a Target audience to understand what to make and how to make it. By using demographic (age, race, gender), Physiographic (interests) and Social Grade (Income) we can narrow down the target audience to a  niche (small) audience or a Mainstream (wide) audience. I have been given the age group of 15-25 as my target audience. Now I need to conduct research into the age group to find out there psychographics and their social grade. this will help me come to a better conclusion as to what to make my video about. For example I'm not going to make a video about going on a cruise if my audience don't meet the social grade to afford it.      Target audience from Bailey44

Mind gives help and support to those suffering with mental health problems. It also  aims to educate and raise awareness about the issues that come with  mental health and how anyone can be suffering in silence.   Aswell as aiding those with mental health issues, they have campaigns to help many others. They help people that receive an extreme amount of stress in the  workplace. A lot of people find it hard to come forward about their problems and experiences with life. Therefore, Mind help those who have received harassment,  abuse and sexual abuse. They also assist in the process of confronting the police about their experiences. They are currently investing and exploring the stress and  problems that come with poverty and debt problems and how to help those in need.  Although Mind work towards helping those sufferin

Editing basics

Editing basics   Standard Cut :   This is th e hard cut which is where  two clips  are put  together  with the last and first clip of two frames connected.   This is the most common cut, and doesn’t really invoke any meaning or feelings, as others do.  It is  normally paired with action so the cut seems less abrupt and flows with the film. This type of cut can either engage the audience with the film or  completely disconnect them.    Jump Cut:   This is a cut that pushes forward in time. It’s normally done within the same frame or composition, and many times it’s used within montages. For example,  R ocky uses jump cuts to show the passing of his training sessions.  Normally a background will stay the same and the actions and positions of the characters will  change,  which gives the jumpy cut.  However,  if the  background  changed, it would be a plain hard cut.   Montage:   A montage is an editing technique that helps show the passing of time easily and quickly. It is normally made
